By creating an account or using BetterCopy, you agree to these terms. They're written to be fair and readable, but they are binding.
1. The service
BetterCopy is a desktop application for Windows (Android beta coming) that enhances text you select using AI, via shortcuts and a floating toolbar. Features vary by plan (Free and Pro) as described on the pricing page. We continuously improve the product; features may be added, changed, or retired, and we ship updates regularly.
2. Your account
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.
- One account per person. Accounts are for your own use and may not be shared, resold, or pooled.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use BetterCopy.
3. Your license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the BetterCopy app on devices you control, for as long as your account is in good standing. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, sublicense, or use the service to build a competing product, and you may not access the service by automated means outside the app's intended use.
4. Your content
You own the text you enhance and the results you receive. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the service, transmitting, processing, and returning your text. We never use your text to train models without your explicit optional consent, as described in our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for the content you process, don't enhance text you don't have the right to use.
5. Credits, billing & refunds
- Credits. Enhancements consume credits. The current monthly credit allowance for each plan is shown on the pricing page. Allowances, credit costs, refill timing, rollover rules, usage limits, and eligibility requirements may vary by plan and may be updated from time to time. Monthly plan credits reset at each cycle and do not roll over unless the pricing page says otherwise.
- Credit packs. Purchased credit packs do not expire while your account remains active.
- Rewards. Reward credits earned through streaks and achievements are a bonus feature; they carry no cash value and may be adjusted if abuse is detected.
- Subscriptions. Pro renews automatically (weekly or monthly, as shown at checkout) until you cancel. Cancel any time; you keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Prices shown on the site are indicative, the exact price for your currency is confirmed at checkout, processed by Stripe. We will not apply a material reduction in paid-plan credits, features, or usage limits during a paid subscription period already purchased, except where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or service discontinuation.
- Refunds. Please use the free trial to evaluate BetterCopy before subscribing. We do not offer refunds for Pro subscriptions, renewals, or credit packs, except where required by applicable law.
- Changes to plan benefits. We may add, remove, or change plan features, credit allowances, credit costs, usage limits, and eligibility requirements. We will display the current offer on the pricing page and provide notice in the app and by email at least 14 days before a material reduction takes effect. You may cancel before the change takes effect; any rights that cannot legally be changed remain protected.
- Price changes. If we change subscription prices, we'll notify you by email at least 30 days before your renewal at the new price.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use BetterCopy to:
- produce content that is illegal, or that harasses, defames, or defrauds others;
- violate academic, professional, or platform integrity rules that apply to you, you are responsible for how and where you use enhanced text;
- probe, overload, or disrupt the service, or circumvent credit limits and plan restrictions;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with a refund of unused paid time where the violation wasn't willful.
7. About AI output
Enhancement results are generated by AI and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your context. Review important text before you rely on it. BetterCopy improves your writing; it doesn't replace your judgment, and we make no guarantee that output is error-free or fit for any particular purpose.
8. Availability & warranties
We work hard to keep the service fast and available, but it's provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scheduled updates ship regularly; occasional maintenance windows may occur.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data caused by factors outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Termination
You can stop using BetterCopy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms, and will notify you when we do unless legally prevented. Sections that by their nature should survive (content ownership, liability limits) survive termination.
11. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, including material changes to plan benefits, credits, usage limits, or eligibility, we'll notify you in the app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms. Changes required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or service discontinuation may take effect sooner where reasonably necessary.

13. About BetterCopy and governing law
BetterCopy is operated by Luis Fernando Grigolon Rodrigues Ltda (CNPJ 55.808.001/0001-59), Rua José Corazza, 76 – Jardim Corazza – Itu, São Paulo, 13301-252, Brazil.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. This choice of law does not deprive users outside Brazil of mandatory consumer protections in their country of residence. For users in Brazil, any dispute will be settled by the courts of Itu, São Paulo; for users elsewhere, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your own country where applicable law requires it.
